The base of the sheds we build that are 10’ wide or wider we use five 4×4 runners. These runners help to support the floor along with the way we block up underneath when we deliver and set up a shed.  The floor joists are 2×4’s that are 16” on center. For a 14’ wide storage shed we use 2×6 floor joist. Any  garage style shed that we build, the 2×6 floor joist’s are placed 12” on center giving the garage a strong enough floor for a vehicle or small tractor.  All the lumber that we use under the actual floor is pressure treated lumber. For the floor itself we use 5/8” exterior grade plywood.
